RISGRA® was founded by Richard Clouter in 2018, informed by 20+ years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant, external auditor and through extensive provision of risk advisory services to regulated businesses in UK, EU, and Australia.

The concept and models have been calibrated to end-user requirements with input from a small group of trusted collaboration partners, time-served in the data science, decision intelligence, audit, finance and risk domains.

Years spent studying, preparing and auditing the annual reports and accounts of regulated businesses, provided comprehensive insight in to the mechanisms, processes, controls and governance structures deployed to effectively manage enterprise-wide risk.

The nature of the collaborations varies by partner, but we all have a shared belief in the power of hyper-graph to transform understanding and decision intelligence in our respective domains.

Richard has always been fascinated by multi-dimensional representations of complex domains and problems, starting way back using mind-maps while studying at school.

This progressed to design and build of knowledge graphs, initially simple property graphs (RDF triples), but rapidly progressing to use of meta-data, tagging and adoption of much more powerful and expressive hyper-graph languages - that are far better suited to modelling the complexities of ERM in regulated organisations.

Fast forward to today and we have steadily growing momentum and several new use cases emerging as variants of the RISGRA® baseline model.

We’re on a mission to capitalise on the power of hyper-graph technology to make thinking about and working with enterprise risk easy, intuitive & engaging - and accessible in-the-moment to every colleague, in all domains of an organisation.

Risk by its nature is driven by factors, variables & forces that are both internal and external to the organisation, so we design risk models that span the complex, interconnected ecosystem of counterparties, contracts, stakeholders, geo-locations & domains... within which an organisation exists and operates.
